From Hoysala Temples to Paris: Dr. Sushma Mahajan’s Stunning Watercolors Take Center Stage at JKK
Jaipur, January 17: Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas visited Jawahar Kala Kendra on Saturday to review ‘Melody of Colors,’ a solo exhibition by renowned watercolor artist Dr. Sushma Mahajan. During his visit, he highly appreciated the displayed artworks for their intricacy and emotional depth.
The exhibition, scheduled from January 17 to 19, features approximately 60 watercolor paintings. Among these, 22 new pieces have been created specifically for this show. The collection also includes selected works previously exhibited in Paris, Jaipur, and New Delhi.
Dr. Mahajan’s portfolio covers a wide range of themes, including:
- Temple Architecture: Specifically inspired by Hoysala and Chola styles.
- Nature & Life: Landscapes, flowers, birds, and animals.
- Vintage & Still Life: Compositions reflecting balance and calm.
Her recent works are noted for their profound reflection on structure and rhythm, earning praise for their balanced color palettes and subtle detailing.
